Traditionally, quinoa grain is harvested by hand in the Andes Region of Peru. Quinoa has a light, fluffy texture when cooked, and its mild, slightly nutty flavor makes it an alternative to rice or couscous.
Quinoa is a good source of iron, magnesium, vitamin E, potassium, and fiber. It looks a bit like couscous and is as versatile as rice, but quinoa has a richer, nuttier flavor than either of them. Enjoy quinoa as a great side dish or as a flavorful main course.

Suggested use
1 1/2 cups of water per 1 cup of quinoa
- Bring water to boil. Add 1 cup of quinoa
- Reduce heat, cover saucepan and simmer 15-17 minutes until water is absorbed.
